I run an AI auditing practice at Adjust AI. Since 2022 I’ve worn the hat of Data Ethicist to Services Australia (e.g. Centerlink and Medicare).
Before starting Adjust AI, I was Director of Data Science at Parity (doing Responsible AI work), and before that, I led CVS’s Covid-19 vaccine demand forecasting and design data-driven equity initatives under Operation Warp Speed.
Some other work I’m proud of includes
- foundational contribution to alignment for generative AI
- Cellophane, a toolkit to measure algorithmic bias under uncertainty
- organizing to hold Google accountable for mistreating its ethical AI team
I have spent most of the last decade in housing co-operatives. This webseries really captures the good, the bad, and the downright weird, of the experience.
